LONDON (Alliance News) - Georgian Mining Corp said Friday it is preparing for work at the Kvemo Bolnisi East gold-copper project, located in Georgia.
The company is currently waiting for the approvals of the exploration permits at the project. Meanwhile, it is using "its time constructively to prepare for the work ahead".
"The recent work has been updating pit optimisations at Kvemo Bolnisi East and developing new concepts for layouts of surface facilities and haulage routes to the processing facilities at the neighbouring operations," Chief Executive Officer Mike Struthers said.
Regarding the permits, the company said it recently held meeting with the Georgian government to stress the "urgency to have this [the permits] resolved". It is confident that it will receive "positive news" and start the work "soon".
Georgian Mining shares were trading up 6.8% at 8.92 pence each.
