LONDON (Alliance News) - Genesis Emerging Markets Fund Ltd said Tuesday that its annual net asset value rose due to a strong first half.
For the year ended June 30, the company's net asset value per share was 790 pence up 5.4% from 750 pence a year prior.
At June 30, the company's net asset value total return was 6.8%, in line with the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, the company's benchmark.
Genesis proposed a final USD0.190 dividend up from USD0.140 the prior year.
Looking ahead, Genesis said it continues to believe that "a patient, long-term investment approach, combined with the skill to identify high-quality companies who can sustain business success over many years", will continue to reward investors for their commitment to emerging markets.
Genesis shares were trading down 0.3% at 659.00 pence.
