Gem Diamonds Recovers 100.5 Carat Diamond From Letseng Mine In Lesotho

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gem Diamonds Ltd said Friday it has recovered a 100.5 carat diamond from its Letseng mine in Lesotho.

The top white colour type IIa diamond is the eleventh 100 carat diamond recovered in 2018.

According to Gem Diamonds, the Letseng mine is the highest dollar-per-carat kimberlite diamond mine in the world.

Shares in Gem Diamonds were down 1.7% Friday at 114.50 pence each.
