Gem Diamonds Finds 152 Carat Diamond At Lesotho Mine

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gem Diamonds PLC announced Wednesday the discovery of a 152 carat diamond in Lesotho, the sixth over 100 carats recovered so far in 2018 by the company.

The top white colour type IIa diamond was found at the company's Letseng mine in Lesotho. In mid-January, Gem Diamonds discovered a 910 carat diamond at Letseng, believed to be the fifth-largest gem-quality diamond ever recovered.

Shares in Gem Diamonds were up 0.7% on Wednesday at 86.02 pence each.
