(Alliance News) - GCM Resources PLC on Monday said it has appointed a long-serving partner of audit firm Chapman Davis as finance director and appointed a new non-executive director.
Keith Fulton, who has been a partner at Chapman Davis for the past 13 years, joins the mining and energy company as finance director with immediate effect. Fulton has previous experience as finance director at IDG UK Holdings Ltd.
Also with immediate effect, Mohd Najib Bin Abdul Aziz joins GCM as a non-executive director. Abdul Aziz "has significant experience in both executive and non-executive director roles in Malaysia", GCM noted. This includes his current executive positions at Corporate-Pacific Holdings Sdn Bhd and Pentas Flora Environmental Services Sdn Bhd.
These appointments follow the immediate resignation of James Hobson from his roles as finance director and company secretary. Hobson joined GCM as company secretary in 2011 and the board in 2016. He will remain with the company until Friday this week to assist with handover matters.
Shares in GCM were down 0.7% at 21.60 pence on Monday afternoon.
