GB Group to post revenue growth in half year amid strong demand

21st Oct 2021 10:47

(Alliance News) - GB Group PLC on Thursday said it is "pleased" with its financial and operational performance over the past six months.

The Chester, England-based location intelligence and fraud prevention company said its long-term structural growth opportunities continue to be supported by consumer activity shifting online and an increased need for fraud prevention solutions.

GB Group said total revenue for the first six months to September 30 is expected to be GBP109 million, which represents an increase of 5.3% over the prior year. This is before adjusting for exits from the company's marketing services and employment screening businesses, it said.

As a result, adjusted operating profit for the half year is expected to be GBP27.5 million, an increase of 3% on last year.

"We have made excellent progress against our growth strategy and have continued to support our customers throughout," said Chief Executive Chris Clark.

The company also noted that it continues to increase investment in its people, technology and channel-to-market capacity.

GB Group shares were trading 1.1% higher in London on Thursday at 927.50 pence each.

The company said it will report its half-year results on November 30.
