LONDON (Alliance News) - Gattaca PLC on Wednesday confirmed it is voluntarily assisting the US Department of Justice following a request of information as part of an investigation into Chinese telecoms firm Huawei.
Gattaca shares were trading down 9.3% at 102.50 pence each on Wednesday morning.
The engineering & IT recruitment firm said the information requested largely relates to events prior to its the acquisition of Networkers International Ltd. At the time Gattaca was called MatchTech Group Ltd.
Gattaca added that it was unable to comment further.
The company issued the statement in response to a report by Reuters, which on Tuesday, reported that Networkers supplied contractors to a company with links to Huawei, Skycom Tech Co Ltd, for projects in Iran between 2010 and 2016.
