Gateley Advised Takeover Of La Tasca Restaurants By Casual Dining

3rd Sep 2015 07:59

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gateley PLC Thursday said it has advised tapas restaurant chain La Tasca on its takeover by Casual Dining Group, which operates the Bella Italia, Café Rouge and Las Iguanas restaurant chains in the UK.

The commercial law firm said it has advised La Tasca Holding Ltd, the holding company of the 40 restaurant UK chain, on the proposed sale of the business to Casual Dining Group.

"Over recent years Gateley has been heavily involved in working very closely with management in their restructuring of the La Tasca business to enable this sale to take place," said Corporate Partner of Gateley Mark Halliwell.

The deal by Casual Dining Group to purchase La Tasca follows on from its purchase of the Las Iguanas chain, meaning it now has 280 restaurants across the UK following the La Tasca deal.

The takeover of La Tasca was reportedly worth around GBP25.0 million according to media reports earlier this week.

Gateley shares were up 1.4% to 101.37 pence per share on Thursday morning.
