(Alliance News) - GAN PLC on Monday said it welcomes the legalisation of internet casino gambling and sports betting in the US state of Michigan.
Shares in London-headquartered GAN were up 8.2% at 148.20 pence in London on Monday.
The gambling software supplier said this move "materially" increases the number of Americans who will be permitted to gamble online, with 21% of Americans now living in states with legislation enabling online gambling.
"With Michigan's regulated internet gambling market expected to commence in 2020, GAN is strongly positioned to serve Michigan casino operators in that state," the company said.
