(Alliance News) - Gambling software firm GAN PLC on Monday said it has launched an online internet gaming platform in New Jersey, US, alongside Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment Inc, an American casino operator.
The internet gaming platform was made available on Friday, after a three-day soft launch period, GAN said.
GAN's integration framework will allow patrons of Parx Casino, a chain operated by Greenwood, to link their reward cards to their online account, the London-listed company explained.
The launch in New Jersey follows GAN unveiling a internet sports betting and online casino gaming platform in the state of Pennsylvania in June and July.
Chief Executive Dermot Smurfit said: "Launching the largest casino in Pennsylvania online has now logically extended across the border into New Jersey, extending their reach into New Jersey's fast-growing and established Internet gambling market.
"This represents an incremental revenue opportunity for GAN and is a logical extension of our technology infrastructure to serve Parx Casino patrons who routinely cross the invisible border between these two populous states."
Online gambling laws have been relaxed recently in the US after the Supreme Court in 2018 repealed a federal ban on sports betting. Individual states are now allowed to pass their own sports betting laws.
Shares in GAN were 1.9% lower at 75.55 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
