Gamma Communications Full Year Earnings To Beat Expectations

23rd Nov 2015 09:26

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gamma Communications PLC said Monday it will report earnings ahead of previous expectations for its full year as a result of strong trading, and promoted Richard Bligh to its board as chief operating officer.

The communications technology and services provider said it expects to report earnings before interest, depreciation and amortisation, adjusted to exclude share based payments and exceptional costs, ahead of its previous expectations for 2015. Additionally, it expects to recognise an exceptional gain of around GBP5.5 million in relation to a ladder pricing policy settlement.

Ladder pricing is a mechanism used by fixed line operators to bill other operators for calls to some 08 numbers; Gamma has been in talks for a settlement in regards to its ladder pricing policy with operators, and these talks are now approaching a conclusion, it said.

Bligh has worked with Gamma since 2004, and is currently group marketing director and managing director.

Shares in Gamma were up 3.1% at 422.75 pence Monday morning.
