Gaming Realms Gets Provisional iGaming Supplier License in Michigan

6th Jan 2021 10:19

(Alliance News) - Gaming Realms PLC on Wednesday announced it has been awarded a provisional iGaming supplier license by the Michigan Gaming Control Board as the UK company focuses on increasing its US presence.

The London-based mobile gaming content developer currently operates in the US state of New Jersey.

iGaming is online betting, including sports betting and online casinos.

It said the iGaming license will allow it to provide its Slingo Originals game content to Michigan's licensed online casino operators, once iGaming is approved to go live by the Midwestern state's Gaming Control Board. This is expected to happen imminently, Gaming Realms said.

Shares in Gaming Realms were up 8.1% at 24.00 pence in London on Wednesday.

"We already have a number of deals signed with operators licensed in Michigan and we are confident that it will be a strong market for us, given the awareness of Slingo as a successful gaming brand. We look forward to being amongst those helping to launch its new iGaming market," said Executive Chair Michael Buckley.
