(Alliance News) - Gaming Realms PLC said Tuesday it hired Sportingbet.com founder Mark Blandford as non-executive director of the gambling software maker with immediate effect.
Blandford founded Sportingbet.com in 1998 before listing it on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2001. The firm was eventually sold for GBP485 million in 2013, being split between William Hill PLC and GVC Holdings PLC.
"We are delighted that Mark has agreed to join the company," Gaming Realms Chair Michael Buckley said. "He has significant board experience in public companies and the online gaming industry. We welcome him and greatly look forward to working with him."
Shares in Gaming Realms were 8.0% lower at 6.35 pence in London on Tuesday.
