LONDON (Alliance News) - GameAccount Network PLC said Wednesday it has been awarded a patent from the US Patent Office for its iBridge Framework software.
The framework allows for the integration of an internet gaming system with a land-based casino's rewards programme. The framework connects the company's GameSTACK internet gaming system with various proprietary and third party casino management systems and their loyalty club programmes, GameAccount said.
GameAccount said that the patent strengthens its position in the US with casino operators, as well as providing it with a "sustainable competitive advantage" in the market.
"The patent further demonstrates the strength of our offering and validates our position as a key player in the market. It also represents significant progress towards our stated objective of growing our business through opportunities in the US," said Chief Executive Dermot Smurfit in a statement.
Shares in GameAccount were trading flat at 83.50 pence Wednesday afternoon.
