Gama Aviation Buys Interior Business To Improve US Maintenance Unit

10th Jan 2019 15:30

LONDON (Alliance News) - Aviation services company Gama Aviation PLC said Thursday it has acquired a paint and interior completions facility to its US maintenance business.

The trade and asset purchase is part of Gama's stated USD10 million investment to scale its US maintenance business.

The paint and interior completion business is currently being run by Lotus Aviation Group at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport in south Florida, US.

"The addition of the paint shop and completion centre is another significant milestone for our organic growth strategy in the US. This facility adds two new lines of business providing customers with the opportunity to work with a single provider across all major through-the-life maintenance events from unscheduled aircrafts on ground, to heavy, base maintenance and now interiors and paint," said Dennish Richey, president of Gama's US Ground division.

Shares in Gama Aviation were down 3.9% Thursday at 110.52 pence each.
