(Alliance News) - Gama Aviation PLC on Monday said it has been awarded a contract for providing air ambulance services by the governments of Guernsey and Jersey respectively.
The contracts will be for an initial to of five years with the option to extend it by another five years.
The Hampshire, England-based aviation company will provide 24 hour services throughout the year between the Channel Islands and the UK mainland health services using Beechcraft King Air B200 aircraft.
Gama Aviation will also be providing medical teams for the Guernsey operation.
Gama Aviation Chief Executive Marwan Khalek said: "The award of these prestigious contracts represents another major milestone in our strategic ambition to grow our special mission business."
Gama Aviation shares were up 5.1% at 39.40 pence each in London on Monday midday.
