(Alliance News) - Galliford Try Holdings PLC on Monday said its building division has won two contracts worth GBP56 million in total.
The Uxbridge, England-based construction company said it has been contracted to build the UK's first secure school Oasis Restore on behalf of the Ministry of Justice. The GBP26 million project consists of refurbishing the former Medway secure training centre, creating 49 bedrooms, two educational buildings and a central services building.
Galliford has also been contracted to build the GBP30 million Worthing integrated care centre by the Worthing Borough Council. The new facility will provide GP, mental health, community and dentistry services, a pharmacy and additional services for families and young children. A multi-storey car park will also be built at the site, the company added.
Chief Executive Officer Bill Hocking said: "Our sustainable growth strategy of maintaining strong positions on public sector frameworks and collaborative relationships with local authorities are borne out by these two contract wins."
Galliford shares were up 0.6% to 171.20 pence each in London on Monday morning.
