12th Sep 2013 08:48

LONDON (Alliance News) - Galliford Try Thursday said it had won two new housing contracts in east London, worth GBP60 million combined, to provide housing schemes for social housing provider Peabody.

The first scheme involves providing the GBP35.4 million first phase of a four-phase development at Devon's Road in Bow, which will initially create 259 mixed-tenure homes. The second project involves the GBP24.9 million redevelopment of the former Plaistow Hospital site in Newham, building 168 mixed tenure homes, some inside the restored hospital buildings and some built from scratch.

Galliford Try shares were down 0.3% at 1,062.547 pence Thursday morning.
