LONDON (Alliance News) - Galliford Try PLC on Thursday said it has won two contracts in the education sector worth up to GBP55 million.
The FTSE 250-listed construction and housebuilding group said it has reached financial close on the GBP38 million Hull and East Riding batch under the first phase of the UK government's Priority School Building Programme. The deal will include the GBP18.6 million construction of the Hessle High School and Sixth Form College, plus new buildings for a number of primary schools in the area.
Under the second deal, Galliford has been appointed as preferred bidder by Moray Council for the refurbishment of four primary schools under the LHC framework. The Times reported on Thursday.7 million, the company said.
"Education remains a cornerstone for our Building business across the UK and we are delighted to have been awarded these contracts. We look forward to working with our partners to create school buildings fit for the provision of a high-quality education for their pupils," said Galliford Executive Chairman Greg Fitzgerald.
