Galliford Try Wins Second Forbury Place Contract In Reading

2nd Mar 2016 08:05

LONDON (Alliance News) - Housebuilding and construction group Galliford Try PLC on Wednesday said it has secured a GBP40.0 million contract to build the second phase of the Forbury Place office development in Reading.

Galliford has won the contract from M&G Real Estate and Bell Hammer, and the contract follows on from the first phase of the project.

Forbury Place will create an additonal 185,000 square feet of office space over seven floors and is located close to Reading train station.

"It is excellent news that M&G and Bell Hammer have trusted us once more to build the second phase of the prestigious Forbury Place. The commercial sector remains a key driver for us, particularly in the south east, and we look forward to adding to our record of success with this major development," said Galliford Chief Executive Peter Truscott.

Galliford shares were up 0.3% to 1,458.00 pence early Wednesday.
