LONDON (Alliance News) - Construction and housebuilding group Galliford Try PLC on Tuesday said it has won places on two new education sector construction projects worth a total of GBP85.0 million.
Galliford said its Morrison Construction arm has been appointed preferred contractor for the new Largs education campus in Ayrshire in Scotland. The project will include the relocation of the Largs Academy, along with the relocation of the St Mary's RC Primary School and a new primary school created by the merger of two others.
On the other deal, Galliford's Building division has reached financial close with the Education Funding Agency on the GBP41.9 million Greenwich, Lewisham and Croydon batch of schools under the Priority School Building programme.
The project will include work on schools in Croydon and Greenwich, both in south east London, including the GBP29.0 million Archbishop Lanfranc Academy in Croydon.
