LONDON (Alliance News) - Galliford Try PLC on Tuesday said it has signed a deal with the Greater London Authority to secure planning and then construct the Silvertown Way development in Canning Town, East London.
The proposal involves building more than 1,100 homes across a series of individual blocks at the site and the scheme is valued at around GBP380 million, making it the largest standalone housing project Galliford has undertaken.
The project will be delivered through the FTSE 250-listed construction and housebuilder's existing joint venture with Thames Valley Housing Association, it said.
"I am delighted that we have been able to work with all the stakeholders involved in this project to reach an agreement, and deliver much-needed new homes for London," said Executive Chairman Greg Fitzgerald.
