Galliford Try Reaches Close On Shetlands School Building Contract

3rd Aug 2015 06:44

LONDON (Alliance News) - Galliford Try PLC on Monday said it has reached financial close on the GBP55.8 million contract to build the Anderson High School on behalf of Shetlands Island Council.

The FTSE 250-listed construction and housebuilding company said its Morrison Construction business will handle the construction of the new four-storey high school, which will replace the existing Clickimin school in Lerwick.

"The new Anderson High School represents a significant investment by the Shetland Islands Council on behalf of the community it serves and we are delighted to be working with it to provide a facility the people of Shetland can be proud of," said Greg Fitzgerald, Galliford's executive chairman.
