(Alliance News) - Galliford Try Holdings PLC on Thursday said its building division has been appointed to the GBP1.5 billion YORbuild major works contractors framework agreement.
YORhub is the purchasing coalition for local authorities in Yorkshire and Humberside in the north of England, and the YORbuild major works framework is expected to be used by public bodies in the region to procure construction work over the next four-to-six years.
Galliford Try said it has been selected for Lot 1, which comprises building works between GBP10 million to GBP30 million, and Lot 2, which is for works above GBP30 million. It added that the framework has the option to extend for an additional two years.
"We are delighted to build on our excellent position in the north of England through our appointment to the YORbuild Major Works Contractors Framework Agreement. We look forward to working with our partners, adopting the latest standard operating procedures issued by the Construction Leadership Council," said Chief Executive Bill Hocking.
Shares in Galliford Try were trading 0.4% lower at 149.85 pence each on Thursday afternoon in London.
