LONDON (Alliance News) - Ireland-focused miner Galantas Gold Corp on Thursday said it has received additional encouraging results from its exploration programme in Ireland.
The new results cover the 3039 and 3040 licence areas, located next to Galantas' existing OM4 licence in Northern Ireland.
The new results showed gold mineralisation of up to 2.15 grams per tonne, with silver shows at 18.7 grams per tonne and associated copper, lead and zinc shows.
"To have identified gold and silver in outcrop so early in the program is exciting, and I am delighted. To have interesting nickel and chromium results, as well as gold and silver, in the same licence package, adds to our enthusiasm and demonstrates why we continue to explore the [Republic of Ireland] licence area," said Galantas President and Chief Executive Ronald Phelps.
Galantas shares were untraded on Thursday, having last traded at 4.22 pence.
