LONDON (Alliance News) - Futura Medical PLC on Wednesday said the recruitment phase has closed for its clinical study of MED2002, a topical gel for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
Patient recruitment took place at four sites in the UK and Poland and around 360 patients have consented to take part.
Headline results are expected in the third quarter of 2016.
"We are very pleased to have closed recruitment into this pivotal study of MED2002 in erectile dysfunction, a condition with significant unmet medical need. Commercialisation plans are already being prepared in anticipation of a successful study outcome," said Futura Chief Executive James Barder.
Futura shares were down 1.0% to 16.33 pence Wednesday.
