(Alliance News) - Small business lending platform Funding Circle Holdings PLC said Monday it has appointed Oliver White as chief financial officer.
He will be replacing Sean Gilberto, who will be stepping down later in 2020 to allow enough time for an orderly transition.
White will be joining from Vanquis Bank - the credit card unit of sub-prime lender Provident Financial Group PLC - where he is chief financial officer, and has been for three years since 2017.
"On behalf of all at Funding Circle, I would like to thank Sean for his significant contribution since joining us in 2017. He has been an integral member of the team and someone I have always enjoyed working alongside. We wish him all the best for the future," said Chief Executive Officer Samir Desai.
"In Oliver, we have the right successor to help support us in the next phase of our journey. Oliver has a proven track record and deep understanding of growing an international loan provider and I look forward to him joining," Desai added.
Shares in Funding Circle Holdings - which is based in London - were marginally lower at 80.78 pence on Monday.
