LONDON (Alliance News) - London-based brewer and pub operator Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC on Thursday said trading in the first 43 weeks of its financial year was solid, with good performances for its pubs, hotels and inns, but with beer and cider volumes declining.
The company said its Managed Pubs & Hotels division saw like-for-like sales rise 5.3% for the 43 weeks to January 23, while like-for-like profit for the Tenanted Inns division rose 3.3%.
Beer and cider volumes for its Fuller's Beer Co business, however, decreased 1.0% for the period.
"I am pleased to be reporting further strong trading. A good performance throughout the year has been boosted by another successful Christmas," said Simon Emeny, the company's chief executive.
Fuller shares were up 1.8% to 1,135.00 pence.
