Frontier Developments To Release Jurassic World Game On June 12

3rd Apr 2018 12:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Video game developer Frontier Developments PLC said on Tuesday it will release its new game, Jurassic World Evolution, on June 12, to coincide with annual games industry event E3 Expo and the release of the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

The game will be available for digital download on the Steam platform for PC, the Playstation 4, and Xbox One consoles.

The game be inspired by the films and puts players in control of operations on the island of Isla Nublar and surrounding islands, to build and operate their own Jurassic World theme park.

The company said at the time of its annual results in early September the next step-up in financial performance would be led by Jurassic World Evolution, and it said then it expected most of the initial revenue from the game to fall into its year ending May 2019.

"This year's E3 Expo coincides with the launch of the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom film and it provides a perfect opportunity to invite videogame and movie fans at E3 and around the globe to build their own Jurassic World," said Chief Executive Officer David Braben.

Shares in Frontier Developments were up 4.9% at 1,378.90 pence on Tuesday.
