LONDON (Alliance News) - Friends Life Group PLC Tuesday awarded a contract to Diligenta, a subsidiary of Indian outsourcing group Tata Consultancy Services, to configure and implement the TCS BaNCS platform to support its Friends Provident International business.
The platform will help Friends Provident International, the international arm of the FTSE 100-listed life and pensions group, to service its customers in Asia Pacific and the Middle East and support its growth strategy.
"This new deal will enable us to streamline our systems, improve services to our customers and put us in a strong position to continue growing new business. We are delighted to be embarking on this partnership with Diligenta, given its proven track record with its unique platform capability and expertise in the life and investments market," said John Van Der Wielen, the Chief Executive of International at Friends Life.
Diligenta said the deal is a multi-million pound, multi-year contract.
Friends Life shares were up 0.7% to 311.9 pence in early trade on Tuesday.
