Frasers weighs cash bid for Revolution Beauty but offer not certain

10th Jun 2025 10:17

(Alliance News) - Frasers Group PLC on Tuesday confirmed it is evaluating a possible all-cash offer for Revolution Beauty Group PLC but cautioned that there is no certainty a bid will be made.

Shirebrook, England-based Frasers, founded by high street billionaire Mike Ashley, owns multiple retail brands, including House of Fraser, Sports Direct and Flannels, as well as stakes in Asos PLC, Hugo Boss and boohoo Group PLC.

The group said it is taking part in the formal sale process launched by Revolution Beauty in May and is currently conducting due diligence. If any bid were made, it would be in cash, Frasers noted.

"There can be no certainty that an offer will be made for Revolution Beauty nor as to the terms on which any offer might be made," Frasers added.

On Monday, Revolution Beauty named Frasers as one of several parties reviewing the company. It cautioned shareholders against taking action at this stage, given there is no certainty that Frasers's interest will result in a firm offer.

Frasers holds 29% of fashion e-retailer boohoo, which itself has a 27% majority stake in Revolution.

Shares in Frasers were down 0.8% at 717.00 pence in London on Tuesday morning. Revolution Beauty was 7.0% higher at 8.47 pence, which follows an 11% rise on Monday after it disclosed the approach from Frasers.
