Foxtons Chair Watts Retirement Brought Forward To Start Of March

20th Feb 2020 10:28

(Alliance News) - Foxtons Group PLC said Thursday that Chair Garry Watts will retire from his role on March 1, sooner than the estate agency's annual general meeting in May.

Watts's departure was first announced in late September, as was his replacement by Senior Non-Executive Director Ian Barlow, who will become chair with effect on March 1. The outside date for the change had been set as the May AGM.

Watts has been chair at Foxtons for seven years since 2013, and Barlow has been part of the London-based group for the same amount of time.

Barlow will be replaced as senior independent director by Rosie Shapland, who was appointed to the board earlier this month.

Shares in Foxtons were down 1.5% at 93.60 pence on Thursday in London.
