LONDON (Alliance News) - Paul Judge, a former director of Kazakh copper miner ENRC, has filed a legal claim against the company after it sued him for breaching his duties as a director, the Daily Mail reports Wednesday.
ENRC lodged a suit against Judge in July, accusing him of deliberately passing confidential information about a board meeting to the media, but Judge has denied being the source of leaks and yesterday filed a claim in the High Court accusing ENRC of libel and seeking damages, the paper says.
He is also demanding GBP62,500 plus interest, equal to fees he says he is contractually entitled to receive in lieu of a six-month notice period he did not serve, it added.
