(Alliance News) - FTSE 250 animal genetics firm Genus PLC has picked former Compass Group PLC finance executive Alison Henriksen to lead its own finance operations, it said Wednesday.
Henriksen's appointment at Basingstoke-based Genus is effective from January 13 next year.
She is currently the chief financial officer of UK-based ship management firm V Group. Before that, her roles included heading up catering firm Compass's UK & Ireland and Australia finance units. She was also formerly CFO at Australia's Specialty Fashion Group Ltd.
Henriksen, a native of Australia, began her career at 'Big Four' accountancy firm Ernst & Young.
Genus Chief Executive Stephen Wilson said: "I am delighted to welcome Alison as chief financial officer to Genus. She brings deep commercial and financial expertise across a wide range of industries, as well as extensive M&A experience.
"I am confident Alison will help drive Genus in the next stage of our continued growth, and the implementation of our strategic vision."
Genus shares were 0.9% lower in early trade in London on Wednesday at 3,064.00 pence each.
