Forbidden Technologies Says Success Depends On Expanding Footprint

8th Jun 2015 08:54

LONDON (Alliance News) - Forbidden Technologies PLC said Monday its future success depends on expanding the footprint of its technology, citing the limited number of users in its original market of UK broadcast post-production.

Forbidden develops cloud-based video technology, including editing system Forscene.

In a statement ahead of its annual general meeting the company said it has spent recent months broadening its commercial strategy, it has restructured its executive management teams, and has made significant changes to its product range.

It has updated its Forscene platform to appeal to "more sophisticated editors", particularly in the Sports market. "The upgrades to the professional platform have led directly to increased traction in the high-value sports arena, and this is an area where we continue to look for growth," the company said in a statement.

Additionally, it is rolling-out its consumer product Eva, a video social network. It is planning to launch Eva on the iPhone for July.

Shares in Forbidden Technologies are trading down 0.2% at 9.61 pence Monday morning.
