Forbidden Technologies Launches Captevate Companion Mobile Apps

4th Jul 2016 07:18

LONDON (Alliance News) - Forbidden Technologies PLC on Monday launched companion mobile upload apps for its Captevate product on both iOS and Android platforms.

Forbidden, which makes the Forscene cloud video platform, Captevate consumer video editor and Eva video social network, said it has released the new upload apps for its Captevate product, meaning users will be able to upload any video clips or photos from their mobile devices into Forbidden's cloud at any time or place. The company said this "overcomes the biggest barrier for users editing in the cloud, which is getting the content into the cloud in the first place".

The companion apps launched on iOS and Android, Forbidden said, adding that it was in the process of completing a further companion app, titled Captevate TV, which will allow users' edited videos to be streamed onto televisions using Apple TV.

"These companion apps are branded Captevate, but are in fact just part of Forbidden's cloud video platform solution. The upload app enables users to bring mobile content simply and efficiently into Forbidden's cloud for editing in both Captevate and Forscene," said General Manager and Director of Marketing Jovana Ljiljak.

Shares in Forbidden were up 1.6% at 7.75 pence on Monday.
