LONDON (Alliance News) - Flybe Group PLC said Friday that Non-Executive Director David Kappler intends to retire at this year's annual general meeting.
Heather Lawrence, former non-executive director of Wizz Air PLC, has been appointed to the company's board as non-executive director with immediate effect.
Lawrence has a background in finance and investment banking and was the former managing director of Citigroup, where she set up its aviation and travel team.
Flybe Chairman Simon Laffin highlighted Lawrence's "extensive experience in finance and aviation" which he says will complement the skills of the board. He also thanked Kappler for his "significant contribution" during his three years with the airline.
Shares in the European airline operator were up marginally at 40.04 pence per share Friday.
