Flybe Appoints Timothy Anderson As Chief Operating Officer

23rd Jul 2018 11:38

LONDON (Alliance News) - Regional airline Flybe Group PLC said on Monday it has promoted Non-Executive Director Timothy Anderson to chief operating officer with effect on October 18.

He will be replacing Luke Farajallah, who has been in the role for three years since 2015, and will step down at the end of October to allow a smooth handover period.

Anderson has been a part of Flybe since 2014 as a non-executive director, and prior to that was director general and founder of the UK Military Aviation Authority, which manages military aviation regulation and safety from 2010 to 2013.

"I am delighted that Timo has agreed to join our executive team. His wealth of experience in aviation, logistics and safety will be invaluable to us, building on his past four years on the board. He brings exceptional leadership, management skills, cost discipline and tremendous drive that will be key for us to deliver operational excellence," said Chief Executive Officer Christine Ourmieres-Widener.

Shares in Flybe Group were down 0.8% at 41.65 pence on Monday.
