(Alliance News) - Rathbone Brothers PLC made a number of holdings disclosures on Friday following completion of its Speirs & Jeffrey acquisition.
The acquisition completed on Monday this week, but the stakes were not settled under the Rathbone name until Wednesday. This was followed by a round of disclosures, taking into account the holdings acquired along with independent wealth manager Speirs & Jeffrey.
These included an 8.5% stake or 15.1 million shares in investor Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Ltd, and a 10.6% stake or 19.0 million shares in Henderson International Income Trust PLC.
In addition, Rathbone's 8.3% or 10.7 million share holding in Murray International Trust PLC and 12.0% or 7.9 million share holding in Murray Income Trust PLC were also disclosed.
Prior to the acquisition, Rathbone had held a 5.6% stake in Murray Income Trust. Prior holdings in the other companies named were not disclosed.
The shares are held by a number of Rathbone units, including Rathbone Investment Management Ltd, Rathbone Investment Management International Ltd, and Rathbone Unit Trust Management Ltd.
Shares in Rathbone were flat on Friday in London at 2,180.00 pence each.
