LONDON (Alliance News) - Alternative energy technology firm Flowgroup PLC Friday said it has confirmed its Flow boiler will be available to customers on January 26, slightly later than originally planned.
The boilers help householders cut their utility bills by offering efficient gas boilers that at the same time produce electricity that can light the home or be sold back to the electricity grid. The boilers are being manufactured by Jabil Circuit Inc under a deal signed in December 2013.
"I am delighted that following the initiation of production at the end of last year that everything remains on track for the full commercial launch of the Flow boiler this month," said Chief Executive Tony Stiff.
In November, Flowgroup said "the full sales, marketing and PR launch is planned for mid-January 2015."
Customers can register their interest in the boilers ahead of its launch later this month. In November, Flowgroup said over 10,000 new customers had already expressed an interest in the new boiler.
"We already have a strong pool of customers who have registered their interest in being the first people to use a Flow boiler, and we remain confident that our marketing programmes will continue to generate interest in what we expect to be one of the most revolutionary products in the home energy market," added Stiff.
Flowgroup shares were up 5.2% on Friday afternoon to 45.50 pence per share.
