LONDON (Alliance News) - Flowgroup PLC said Friday that its microCHP Flow boiler has passed all safety regulations and has been certified for volume production and home installation, which means its partner, Jabil Circuit, can now proceed with volume manufacturing.
The company, which develops and commercialises alternative and efficient energy products, said that its microCHP Flow boiler has been awarded CE certification from the British Standards Institution.
The CE marking indicates a product's compliance with EU legislation and so enables the free movement of products within the European market.
Shares in Flowgroup rose 4.3% or 1.50 pence, to be trading 36.50 pence Friday afternoon.
Flowgroup signed an exclusive manufacturing services agreement with electronics manufacturer Jabil Circuit in December last year.
The group said that Jabil Circuit is making significant progress in preparing its manufacturing facility in Livingstone in Scotland, to begin manufacturing of up to 390,000 flow boilers from the second-half of this year. It said its supply chain has been connected to the manufacturing facility and Jabil is now placing orders directly with its suppliers.
