Fitbug Enters Australia In Deal With Leap4Life Covering Woolworths

10th Sep 2013 08:01

LONDON (Alliance News) - Fitbug Holdings PLC Tuesday said it made an agreement to provide its digital health services to the Australian market after signing an agreement with US company Leap4Life.

Fitbug, which offers digital health services that log customers' daily physical activities and give nutrition tips, said its digital health services would be offered to 150,000 employees of grocery retailer Woolworths, as part of its strategy to increase its global business. It said there is potential to expand the programme.

"This is an important development for Fitbug which sees us enter another major market supporting a ground-breaking well-being programme by one of Australia's largest and most progressive employers. We are optimistic that our relationship with Leap4Life will lead to further opportunities in both Australia and the US," Paul Landau, chief executive, said in a statement.

The news comes on the back of Fitbug's recent entry to Asian markets.

Fitbug shares were Tuesday quoted at 1.25 pence, down 0.10 pence, or 7.4%.
