LONDON (Alliance News) - First Quantum Minerals Ltd Tuesday said work has restarted as the Guelb Moghrein copper-gold mine in Mauritania.
The workforce at the site has returned to work and operations resumed following strike action by unionised employees at the site, the company said.
The impact of the action on its full-year 2014 gold production is estimated at 2,800 tonnes of copper and 3,500 ounces of gold, it added.
First Quantum shares were down 1.9% to 1,185 pence per share on Tuesday.
