LONDON (Alliance News) - First Quantum Minerals Ltd said Wednesday that construction activity at its Cobre Panama Copper project has resumed following discussions with union officials.
The site was re-opened on Saturday, and activities are ramping up under a new roster of 21 days of work with seven days off, the company said.
Activity at the site was temporarily halted at the end of June due to an "illegal work stoppage" by some members of its construction workforce over a change to employee work patterns.
Shares in First Quantum closed up 3.5% at 1,450.00 pence Wednesday.
