LONDON (Alliance News) - FinnAust Mining PLC shares fell on Wednesday after it said it has appointed Roderick McIllree as its interim chief executive, but said he will not be a board member.
FinnAust shares were down 10.7% to 1.25 pence per share on Wednesday morning.
McIllree has more than 20 years of experience operating in both the resources and financial sectors. He was a "key member" of teams in companies such as Medusa Mining, Anvil Mining, and Kingsrose Mining.
He was the founder and managing director of Australian Securities Exchange-listed Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd up until August 2014 and is currently a non-executive director of fellow AIM-listed Noricum Gold Ltd.
FinnAust did not provide any details on the search for a permanent chief executive.
