(Alliance News) - Filtronic PLC on Wednesday said it has expanded its agreement with SpaceX to allow it to gain from an increased allocation of business.
Filtronic is a Sedgefield, England-based designer and manufacturer of products for the aerospace, defence, telecoms infrastructure, and low earth orbit space markets.
The company said it will increase its supply of advanced E-band SSPA modules to support the deployment of SpaceX's Starlink satellite, which provide global internet access.
It said it is trading "marginally ahead" of market expectations for the financial year to the end of May 2026.
Filtronic said it has issued 10.9 million warrants to SpaceX at an exercise price of 92.8 pence to recognise the increased business.
The firm said this allows SpaceX to subscribe for up to 5% of its issued share capital.
Chief Executive Officer Nat Edington said: "We are delighted to enter this important new phase of our strategic partnership with SpaceX. The new agreement demonstrates the value of our technology to one of the world's most innovative technology companies and secures further significant supply of E-band SSPAs into the Starlink constellation.
"This gives us greater visibility and confidence that we are trading marginally ahead of market expectations for our financial year ending 31 May 2026. This continues to be an exciting time for the business, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with SpaceX."
Shares in Filtronic were up 5.2% to 109.45 pence in London on Wednesday afternoon.
