LONDON (Alliance News) - Filtronic PLC, which designs and manufactures microwave electronics products for the wireless telecoms infrastructure market, on Wednesday said it has received an initial production order for ultra wide band integrated antennas.
The order is valued at USD464,000, the company said. It has been received from a "major European OEM and represents an initial production requirement for the company's new range of integrated antennas," the company said.
It is a follow on from the production tooling contract announced on August 5, the company said, and will enable Filtronic to commence production trials ahead of mass production that is expected to follow.
"The company expects to fulfil this order in the second half of its financial year," Filtronic said.
Shares in Filtronic closed down 1.0% at 7.30 pence on Wednesday.
