LONDON (Alliance News) - Fidelity China Special Situations PLC said Wednesday it will appoint a former chief executive of Glasgow Investment Managers to its board.
Mike Balfour will join Fidelity China as a non-executive director on October 1. Balfour also has previous experience as a chief investment officer at Edinburgh Fund Managers Ltd.
At present, he is a non-executive director at Standard Life Investment Property Income Trust PLC as well as Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust PLC and Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust PLC.
Concurrently, Fidelity China announced the retirement of Director John Ford from its board in addition to the upcoming retirement of Director David Causer at next year's annual general meeting.
Shares in Fidelity China Special Situations were trading flat at 244.50 pence on Wednesday.
