LONDON (Alliance News) - Iron ore pellets producer Ferrexpo PLC on Tuesday said total pellet production in the first half fell slightly year-on-year.
Ferrexpo said total production was down to 5.7 million tonnes in the half year to June 30 from 5.8 million a year earlier. Production of 65% iron pellets from the company's own ore grew 12% in the half, but production of 62% iron pellets fell by 52%, just offsetting that rise.
Ferrexpo said 65% iron premium pellets represented 94% of its total production in the first half of 2016, up from 87% in the first half of 2015.
