LONDON (Alliance News) - Ferrexpo PLC Tuesday said it has increased production levels at almost all its operations in its third quarter.
The iron ore pellet production company with operations in Ukraine, said total pellet production was up 4%, to 2.8 million tonnes for the three months to September 30 from 2.7 million tonnes in the previous three months.
The company said that despite a 7.3% fall in production of its 62% iron ore at its Yeristovo Mining Site, a 21.9% increase in its 65% iron ore at the site and 3.3% growth at its Poltava GOK Corporation operations meant an overall production growth of 3.2% in its own operations.
Ferrexpo added to this figure by increasing its number of pellets from third parties by 26.6% to 120,600 tonnes from 95,200 tonnes.
The company's total pellet production in September was 970,400 tonnes.
